Jennie has worked in St Mark’s Hospital for over 20 years and in colorectal nursing for longer than that. Jennie has experience in stoma care, research, enhanced recovery after colorectal surgery and is now working in post graduate nurse education. She has recently set up a BSc in gastrointestinal care and hopes to also run this at masters level. Jennie enjoys writing and has been involved in multiple journal publications, book chapters and book editing. Jennie has a degree and masters in gastrointestinal nursing and is currently undertaking a PhD, looking into anterior resection syndrome.

Clinical Nurse Specialist in Stoma Care

Anna is the lead Clinical Nurse Specialist in Stoma Care at King’s College NHS Foundation Trust and has worked in Stoma Care for over twenty years, working at a number of London hospitals. Anna has a Masters degree and is a qualified independent nurse prescriber. Anna has written and presented on a number of stoma care issues, and is involved in steering and consensus panels examining current practice in skin health for patients with a stoma. She teaches regularly on post graduate courses for new clinical nurse specialists.

David is Professor of Nursing within the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Winchester, UK. David initially qualified as a nurse and specialised in critical care nursing before moving into nurse education and research, completing a PhD in immunopharmacology in 2001. He has an international reputation in the field of skin health and tissue viability, and much of his recent research has focused on moisture-associated skin damage in both clinical and laboratory settings. David has published extensively in the areas of skin health and clinical nursing, with over 150 papers, book chapters and scientific abstracts published in leading international journals, and his work is cited in several international best practice statements and consensus documents. He has been a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Wound Care since 2010 and is a member of EWMA, TVS and EPUAP.
Dr Zainab Noor

Dr Noor leads on the psycho-oncology pathway for Gastrointestinal cancer surgery at GSTT. She is a specialist in health psychology, with an interest in the psychological complexity of cancer and gastrointestinal surgery.
She completed her clinical psychology training and was awarded Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London. She has experience in working within varied health settings including spinal cord injury, neuro-rehabilitation and neurological conditions, chronic pain, and cancer.
Dr Noor’s approach to psychological therapy is informed by evidence based models of treatment which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and theories that emphasise cultural and social aspects that influence a person’s relationship to health.
An integrative and inclusive clinician, Dr Noor thrives on bringing together medical and allied health professionals in identifying and meeting the complex psychosocial needs of people in her care.

Clare Simpson is a Clinical Nurse Specialist working within Paediatric Endocrinology. Clare has had a varied career in adult and children's nursing with experience in intensive care, gastroenterology and nutrition.
